Vocation Committee

What We Offer

The Vocations Committee has just started within our parish here at Holy Spirit.  We are branching off of the Archdiocesan Vocations Office.  The Archdiocesan Vocations Office is currently working hard to encourage Vocations Committees and Vocation advocates in every parish.  Our goal for this ministry is to involve a group of people who will look for ways to support vocations to religious life and the priesthood, as well as support people already serving in this way.

One of our main goals will be to “Create Contact” between young people and those in religious life.  Another goal is to increase awareness among those around us.  We will be developing ideas to support our young men and women in formation as well as our priests and men and women in religious life.

The first way the Vocations Committee will increase awareness is by starting a series of vocation talks to the students.    We have a 30 minute prayer for vocations on the First Friday of the month at 4:45 pm in the Chapel.  Join us!
